This carving knife features a blade profile similar to a traditional Western double-beveled marking knife, with a flat back and two front bevels able to cut in either direction.
This carving knife's 9mm blade width make it capable of making refining cuts in larger sized work. Its flat back also makes it capable of being utilised with a straight edge as a marking knife.
The use of high speed steel in this tool allows it to be ground to a fine bevel angle without being in danger of breaking, as a high carbon steel would usually be. As such a highly refined edge can be achieved.
