Hexagon-Handled Sickle - 105mm

Made in Sanjo, Niigata prefecture, our hexagonal-handled sickles nestle nicely in the hand, are extremely light and are well suited to small space gardening and densely packed beds.

The 105mm model is the middle of three sizes in this traditional shape. It's high carbon steel blade can be resharpened for a long life span, and is extremely thin at 2mm thickness. Combined with it's short cutting edge, this allows it to be pulled through soil with little effort, cutting roots as it goes.
