These are the big boys. The tataki nomi is the classic Japanese carpenter's chisel, and we are particularly proud of our Kamiwaza examples.
Each of these chisels are a foot-long monument to the Japanese toolmaking craft. Hand-forged with a white paper steel (shirogami #2) cutting edge, they are beautifully ground with a subtle angularity that gives them presence and purpose.
For the woodworker tackling big joinery, these are the perfect fit. Happy to take a big hit and a big bite, they love heavy work. Get them sharp and watch them sing.
