Is your blade not being held tightly in your block? Never fear! All is remediable with a little time and some glue!

Over a plane's life, with it's block guaranteed to move with changes in humidity in temperature, the fit of the blade will change.

Sometimes this means it loses it's tight fit in the block and drops too far.

In this video, Mitch repairs three planes by gluing extra material to the block underneath the blade - one with printer paper, one with Washi paper, and one with veneer.
