In your hand they feel wonderful, and smoothly cut food, paper and cardboard.
Beautifully constructed of hardened stainless steel, with a tension spring at the pivot point, which applies pressure along the entire length of the cutting edge.
The blade/cutting edge length is 75mm and overall length is 200mm.
The two parts come completely apart for washing, and join back together with ease.
The design is simple and elegant, something the Japanese do so well.

It is such a pleasure to use tools that function well that are also aesthetically pleasing, The design is minimalist and practical, making these Japanese kitchen scissors comfortable to use to cut a wide range of materials inside and outside the kitchen. Having a simple design that enables the blades to separate easily to clean adds to the joy of using them. After putting up with cheap imposters in the past, these scissors are proudly hanging in my kitchen as a utensil I enjoy looking at as much as I do using.

They are sharp just as they came and I haven't sharpened them yet. They do all the scissoring work in the kitchen and look superb hanging next to my prep table.

Bought these kitchen shears cause my previous ones were no longer good and they were at a cheap price. Decided I'd go for one at a higher price and had heard that Japanese shears last for a while. So I saw these online and decided to purchase them. Great for breaking down chicken and fish with a clean cut. Would purchase again as a gift!
