Hand forged with white paper steel (shirogami #2) edges, this beautiful dovetail chisels by Kamiwaza cuts as nicely as it looks.
Profiled with lower profile blade edges than other bench chisels, the Shinogi Nomi is designed to cut under overhanging timber, such as between dovetails.
The hoops on all chisels have been set from the factory, while the finish levels on the backs and bevels of these chisels is exceptional, making them a joy to tune and sharpen.
Available for purchase individually or as a comprehensive set included are; 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 24mm, 30mm, 36mm, 42mm and a white canvas chisel roll to keep your new chisels safe and sharp.

I can't justify the top tier JP chisels; but the Orie Nomi extends the current range of JP chisel set and sitting next to my Lie Nielsen , Bacho and Robert Sorby chisel sets the JP chisels tend to reach my hand first.

Love the feel of this chisel however the left hand corner seems to chip constantly even under light use. Any help on this as id like to buy a few more of them?
I love the weight, feel and precision of the Shinogi Nomi Dovetail chisel. Perfect for fine detailed paring work even in hard Australian timbers!

I recently purchased two Shinogi Nomi/Dovetail Chisels, a 9mm and 18mm. Though both chisels had been thoroughly factory sharpened, the backs did require extra honing. Once honed, the chisels were a delight to use. They are well balanced and held their edge extremely well. Highly recommend the Shinogi Nomi to anyone and will be back to add to my collection.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet but really looking forward to using it.
