This simple marking block uses a carbon steel blade and Japanese white oak body.

The blade uses a single bevel and can be removed for sharpening.

Positioning of the fence is adjusted with a screw locking mechanism.

Well made and functional tool

Works amazingly. Only gripe for me is that I’d like to be able to see the cutting edge in contact with the workpiece as I scribe a line. The arm where the blade is attached blocks my view of this. A single arm version of the mortise gauge sold on JTA ( where the cutting head extends out from the arm rather than being embedded into the arm) would be better. Other than that, great product and would recommend.
