Thats right! With the same sharpness as our woodcarving files these Iwasaki Draw Files are made for long, controlled shaping cuts. Used with a pulling or drawing action, they conceptually behave like a small drawknife, removing fine curled shavings while giving excellent control over most work pieces, performing exceptionally on the hardest timbers ( we tested every model on nthe hardest Australian hardwoods).

This flat bed files are especially useful where a rasp feels too rough and the work area needs a detail otherwise too hard to achieve for a planer, a drawknife or even a chisel.
