Thats right! With the same sharpness as our woodcarving files these Iwasaki Draw Files are made for long, controlled shaping cuts. Used with a pulling or drawing action, they conceptually behave like a small drawknife, removing fine curled shavings while giving excellent control over most rounded forms, performing exceptionally on the hardest timbers ( we tested every model on the hardest Australian hardwoods)
This half round files are especially useful where a rasp feels too rough and the work area or radius is too small for a planer or drawknife to do the job.
