The Iwasaki extra-thin flat carving file is made for controlled shaping in very narrow spaces, fine slots, delicate grooves and precise adjustment work.

Performing exceptionally on the hardest timbers ( we tested every model on the hardest Australian hardwoods) It features Iwasaki’s unique spiral tooth pattern and chemically polished teeth, producing clean, precise shavings while leaving an extremely fine finish. The extra-thin body makes it ideal when standard files are too thick for the job.

This is an excellent file when accuracy and access matter more than heavy material removal. It helps refine narrow openings, adjust small parts, clean slots and make precise corrections without removing too much material.

Recommended for:

Luthiers, instrument makers, model makers, cabinetmakers, pattern makers and woodworkers working on narrow grooves, slots, fine joinery and delicate detail work.
