Crafted from 1mm-thick JIS-standard stainless steel, it's ideal for referencing edges, laying out curves, measuring uneven surfaces, and marking board centres.

Distinguishing itself, the Hiropita features a 20mm width (wider than traditional sashigane). This allows for millimeter scales on both the inside and outside edges of the arms, and on both front and back faces.
