Yousai Textile Scissors, Black

The first tailor’s scissors imported to Japan during early Meiji period were re-designed for the Japanese. Known as 'Rasha' scissors, they went on to become the prototype for the modern tailor’s scissors.

These beautifully crafted shears are made of a premium hardened Yasuki Hagane (blue paper steel). These hand forged tools are made to last and to retain their sharpness for a long time. The blade is hand finished by the blacksmith and guarantees a superior cutting edge.

These long bladed fabric shears are ideal for cutting from bolts of fabric or larger pieces.  

The Yoshioka family has been in the business of producing high quality tools since 1946 when the founder Mr Kihachi Yoshioka was a manufacturer of dressmaking scissors. Today the company is now a third generation business operated by Takashi Yoshioka.
