This is a high class higonokami. Proper kasumi construction and a pleasing layered pattern. The lock is simple but effective given that this is not a knife for extra heavy duty use. The Snakewood is striking and reminds me of Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle. A very impressive folder.

Beautiful piece of equipment made designed with skill this is a piece of art in its own aspect

It has been a about a month with this knife and its great ! great snake wood scales and well crafted knife with a great look.
It cuts well for everyday use opening boxes to letters and did some whittling with it also (Just be careful with hard woods ).
The only thing to get used to is the thumb lever as it sicks up a bit and can be annoying in the pocket sometimes. But is perfect for what i need and I'm very happy with this knife.

This knife is beautifully balanced and a dream to hold. It looks great and the workmanship is perfect. At first I thought I had file marks on the handle, then when I looked closer they are little friction bars deliberately there to prevent finger slippage.
To test the sharpness of the magnificent blade I got a very ripe tomato and held it on the cutting board and while holding only the heel of the knife handle I just drew the blade across the tomato. It sliced all the way through in one pass.

This knife is magnificent. The timber is beautifully figured and the finish is flawless. The entire handle is very well made and the opening action is positive and smooth. As nice as the handle is, the blade is just superb! Wonderfully patterned, it is both beautiful to look at and a joy to touch and use.
