Not sure which shears to choose?

Compare every Toyama pair by task, steel, grip and size, or try our 3-tap shears finder.

These beautifully crafted mirror-polish snips feature handles made from Bubinga (African Rosewood – Guibourtia), delivering elegance and control for delicate pruning work. Ideal for cutting live plants and fine stems, they excel in bonsai care, floristry, and general garden finesse.

Each pair is hand-forged by Toyama Hamono using traditional Japanese techniques. Known for their work since the 1860s, Toyama Hamono craftsmen shape and sharpen each blade to a precise convex curve, offering a clean, precise snip every time. These snips are not intended for use on dead wood, thick branches, or wire, as misuse may damage the fine edge.

Each piece is a unique reflection of its maker, with subtle variations that highlight its handcrafted nature and comes boxed.

Top quality

Very nice snips, incredibly sharp blades which are perfect for delicate work that requires minimum damage to the plant. Very nice finish both on the woodwork and the metal.
