This Iwasaki is a compact cranked flat carving file made for controlled shaping in narrow recesses, grooves, moulding details and tight areas where a standard handle can get in the way.

Performing exceptionally on the hardest timbers ( we tested every model on the hardest Australian hardwoods) It features Iwasaki’s unique spiral tooth pattern and chemically polished teeth, producing clean, precise shavings while leaving an extremely fine finish. Used on the pull stroke, this file gives excellent control in delicate and difficult-to-reach areas.

This is an excellent file when you need accuracy in a tight space. The flat face helps clean shoulders, refine small grooves, true up narrow surfaces and shape details without damaging the surrounding work.

Carvers, cabinetmakers, luthiers, instrument makers, model makers and woodworkers working on grooves, rebates, mouldings, small recesses and fine internal details.
