Description

The Kakuri Universal Saw Set is the ideal introduction to the superior Kakuri Fine Cut Saw Series. It will enable any craftsman to tackle a wide range of carpentry and cabinetry tasks such as cross-cutting and rip cutting, diagonal cuts, the cutting of hardwood and fine finishing cuts.

Universal Set Includes:

  2. Semi Fine Cut 250mm
  3. Rough Cut 210mm
  4. Keyhole Rough Cut 100mm

The KAKURI Fine Cut Saw Series have been designed to allow equal versatility of its tools and uses. Every blade and handle in the series is completely interchangeable to enable the craftsman the ability to customize the entire range of Japanese pull saws to suit each specific purpose.

Each blade in this series is made to the highest quality using only Japanese or Swedish steel. These metals are highly regarded and are used by professional craftsmen around the world. Some of the fine tooth blades are hand filed, giving you the accuracy and ease of cutting in every pull of the saw. The handle mechanism to hold the blade is uniquely streamlined to eliminate any chance of the latch getting in the way of your material.

Great quality saw. Comfortable and easy to use and leaves a very clean finish. I am only a beginner and upgraded to this set from a cheap tenon saw and the difference in cut and accuracy are worlds apart.

The Perfect Saw For My Needs

I have long been a fan of the Japanese approach to cutting wood but have struggled with keeping pullsaws in good condition in a shared workshop with inexperienced people.
This set is perfect for me because it’s small enough to take everywhere with me or hide away, selfish I know but don’t judge me!

The locking mechanism is incredibly solid, time will tell how it holds up but I have high expectations based on the design and quality of build.

I’ve not used it much as yet and only tested 2 of the blades but they have performed as expected so I’m very happy.

It’s a 10/10 from me…..

I bought a small Japanese type saw some two years ago, mainly just to trim dowels. I was so pleased with the pull Vs the push action I decided I wanted a bigger version. A month ago I started to look around and think about what I wanted. I came across the Japanese Tools website and read up on their product. Given the positive feedback I purchased the Universal set and have not been disappointed. They are easy to use and so very accurate. My regret is I don’t have a larger one that does very fine cuts. However it is on my wish list.
