This set of Power Grip Carving Chisels from Mikisyo, are a great beginners set as they contain a variety of common profiles and come sharp and ready to use out of the box.

The blades are made of laminated steel, whilst the chisels have ergonomic handles allowing the wood worker to comfortably hold the handle in various positions. This set is a great starter set for Netsuke

This set contains the following carving chisels:

  • 3mm curved gouge
  • 6mm curved gouge
  • 8mm skew chisel
  • 8mm straight chisel
  • 5mm V-paring chisel

Great tools at a reasonable price

I have recently returned to lino block printing. I am very much an upper level beginner and wanted a good set of tools without a huge price tag. These fit the bill. I like the packaging ( storage system) and the tools come very sharp. The grip is really comfortable for my small hands.
Ordering and consequent freight was smooth and fast .

They look really nice but not sure what to do with a chisel that gets lost in one hand..
