Description

What do you bring in your veggies with? An old kitchen knife, perhaps? A pair of scissors? Sure, they'll do the job. But a serrated sickle can do it so much better.

This tool is totally unconcerned about what you're pulling out of your veggie patch. Whether the softest spinach stems or the most overgrown cauliflower, it matters not. A smooth, deliberate pull across the stem of your crop takes it out of the garden bed and one step closer to your plate.

The teeth of this sickle are nice and fine (15 tpi, for you saw nerds), and sickle shape brings them across the material to be cut amazingly efficiently.

This carbon steel version of the sickle means it is easier to sharpen than it's stainless cousin. We recommend a medium-grit stone (500-1000) be used on the back of the teeth occasionally to keep it in tip-top nick. For best life, we suggest wiping it clean and wrapping it in an oily cloth before putting it away. If that doesn't sound like you, we also offer a stainless option.

We have found that the trickiest part of this tool is exercising the self-control to not snip everything off until it is ready to be brought in!

Blade length: 170mm
Handle length: 210mm

This tool can do almost anything in a small garden if you can't be bothered to bring out those heavy power tools. Very underrated.
