Radiused Whetstone for Gardening Tools

Regular price $32.00
Grit

Description

Suehiro's radiused stones are manufactured for use on the edges of sickles, hoes and other gardening tools. For this reason, the range focuses on robust coarse and medium grits.

The Radius Garden Whetstones work for just about every edged blade:

  • #180: coarse, when you have visable chips and need to reshape a blade.
  • #500: medium, for rough bladed tools, sickles etc.
  • #1000: fine, for regular sharpening - the most useful stone for everyday sharpening

They feature three straight sides and one radiused side. This allows them to be used both on straight- or convex- bladed tools such as hedge shears, shovels and hatchets as well as the concave edges of sickles and hoes.

For best results, allow to sit in a bucket of water for 3-5 minutes before commencing sharpening, and add water while sharpening if the stone dries out.

This stone measures 134×40×30mm.

Gardening Tool Whetstones

Excellent size and nicely made. Well worth having. I first used them on my curved blade pruning knife. It would be nice to have an English translation of the instructions.
