Japanese Handmade Plane Scraper

Designed for regenerating the sole of traditional Japanese Kanna. The Plane Scraper gently removes thin layers of wood from the sole, facilitating the preparation of the plane for use.

Its main function is to create a slight indentation in front of and behind the blade, reducing the friction surface of the plane against the material being worked on. It leaves a smooth surface behind.

Hand forged with a laminated Blue Paper Steel (Aogami) blade, with a parracord wrapped handle for comfort.
