Wave Higonokami Pocket Knife

The limited edition Wave series is a collaborated design by Nagao x Hall Haus - a French Design group, working together for Osaka Expo 2025.

The Nagao Kanekoma factory, is one of the last remaining makers of the official Higonokami style pocketknives have been in production since 1894. While respecting this long tradition, of metal pocketknives, Hall Haus have designed a modern wooden sheath/handle.

The moment you hold it, you can feel a the soft warmth of the timber that makes it fit comfortably in the hand, and depending on the angle you look at it, the beautiful woodgrain seems to float. The Wave series have been finished to harmonise the wood with the blades. With such natural materials, you can enjoy the ageing process over time as the timber colours become smoother and richer with use.

Constructed from Japanese VG10 the blade is easy to maintain and retains its sharp edge for a long time. It fits together in the timber sheath with a small yet sturdy, rust resistant screw and bolt hinge.

To confirm authenticity, you will find Nagao stamp and Hall Haus logo on each handle.
