Higonokami Pocket Knife

This limited edition selection of Higonokami style pocketknives by Nagao Kanekoma, are produced by one of the last remaining makers of the official Higonokami style pocketknives having been in production since 1894.

While respecting this long tradition, of metal pocketknives, Nagao have created a series of collaborated design wooden sheath higo.

The moment you hold each knife, you can feel a the soft warmth of the timber that makes it fit comfortably in the hand, and depending on the angle you look at it, the beautiful woodgrain seems to float. With such natural materials, you can enjoy the ageing process over time as the timber colours become smoother and richer with use.

Constructed from Japanese VG10 the blade is easy to maintain and retains its sharp edge for a long time. It fits together in the timber sheath with a small yet sturdy, rust resistant screw and bolt hinge.
