These flat, untempered glass plates measure 280mm x 225mm x 10mm and have beveled edges for an extended lifespan. When paired with adhesive-backed abrasives, they are a quick and cost-effective way of flattening dry Japanese water stones. Using flat stones allows the woodworker to flatten the backs of their blades, as well as produce evenly sharpened bevels.
This size of plate is also excellent to have in the workshop to flatten plane soles or establish flat surfaces on small components and pieces of timber.
