The Gyokucho TRONC series is a line of Japanese hand saws know for their compact size, high quality construction and striped handles made from layers of maple and cherry wood.
These saws are designed for precise work, with features like impulse-hardened, nickel plated wear-resistant teeth for cutting various materials, Laminated wood, General timber, Composite wood panel, MDF panel, Particle board (OSB), Ply wood, and Bamboo material making them suitable for detailed work in woodworking and DIY projects.
Short metal spine makes it easy to cut through the material. The tip of the blade is curved, so you can cut a hole on a flat surface. They have some rip teeth for cutting along the grain and diagonally to the grain.
Hijirime is making variation on the height of the teeth edges. It greatly improves cutting quality. Lower edges removes saw dust. By putting sets on the teeth, it prevents the blade from being stuck in between the material.
