Tools, Timber and Delicious Food 🍣

Last year, JTA and a couple of very special friends threw open the warehouse doors for a huge weekend of tools, timber and delicious food.

We had such great feedback from all involved and so we're doing it again in June!

On offer from JTA will be a massive sale of samples, seconds and discontinued stock at never to be repeated prices, so get in early for some amazing bargains!

Back by Popular Demand

Greg from Carving & Turning Timber Sales

Back by popular demand, Greg rolled up last year and filled our warehouse with two pallets' worth of the most sumptuous timbers.

Beautifully dried and carefully milled, Greg had countless blocks of beech for the carvers, exotic Tassie blackwood for the furniture makers, slabs upon slabs for those looking for the most figured Aussie timbers that can be had, and at least a dozen species that we'd never seen or got to work with and turned out to be absolutely delightful.

Jaw-dropping Japanese Tools and Antiques

Tetsu Antique Japanese Treasures

Tetsu has arguably the largest collection outside of Japan of antique Japnese handtools and collectables. Like a onion, his warehouse contains layer upon layer, and years upon years of sourced pieces from his trips to Japan. Whether visiting him in Victoria or coming to see his wares during this open weekend, unique tools and treasures are sure to be found.

Tetsu sells his tools in both unrestored and restored states, so for the woodworker who is prepared to breath life back into these cherished tools, come find a special piece that holds a lifetime of inherent craftsmanship at a fraction of their actual worth.

Mirka Sanding in Action

This year JTA's sister company and next door neighbour Best Abrasives invite you to check out their new showroom and mezzanine area where refreshments will be available as well as viewing live demonstrations of Mirka products in action!
