300mm Profile Gauge

The 300mm Shinwa Profile Gauge is an extra-large and incredibly well-made tool used to accurately capture complex profiles for scribing into a mating piece of timber. Its 1mm stainless steel pins conform precisely to any shape when pressed with hand pressure, staying firmly in place as the resulting profile is traced or marked. Commonly utilized in Japanese carpentry for scribing the base of vertical pillars to perfectly fit natural stone foundations, this gauge also excels at transferring the intricate shapes of period molded skirting or architraves.
