Box Making Set

Box Making Kit - an ideal gift for the hobbyist as well as the more seasoned wood worker who enjoys making timber objects by hand.

This box making kit contains the following Japanese tools:

• Milled Japanese Cedar to make a small box
• 40 pcs of Japanese tapered wooden nails
• 1 Japanese tapered drill bit for the wooden nails
• 4 Japanese brass clamps (2 x 120mm and 2 x 180mm)
• 1 Flush cut saw by Gyokucho
• Japanese Smoothing Plane - 42mm

This set will allow you to make a box with a maximum height of 150mm with no restrictions of length. The timber will allow you to make a small box of approx. 200mm length x 80mm high x 80mm deep.

This set contains everything you would need to completely build a box by hand. The process of cutting the box without the use of a power tool such as a table saw or a router for its accuracy and finish can all be done with the use of the jig and hand tools in this set. The wonderful experience of creating a object by hand is very rewarding.
