Experience the precision and craftsmanship of traditional Japanese woodworking with this six-piece Damascus Tanryu Nomi Chisel Set by Kakuri.

Handcrafted in Japan, these premium bench chisels are designed to provide exceptional sharpness, edge retention and control. The set includes six versatile sizes—6, 12, 19, 25, 32 and 38mm—making it ideal for everything from detailed joinery to larger woodworking tasks.

Each chisel features a laminated blade made with Yasuki Aogami high-carbon steel. The extremely hard cutting edge is forge-welded to a softer iron backing, combining outstanding cutting performance with easier sharpening and maintenance. Finely ground bevels reduce resistance through the timber, producing clean, accurate cuts in both hardwoods and softwoods.

The durable red oak handles are fitted with steel striking hoops, allowing them to withstand repeated mallet blows while providing a comfortable and secure grip.

Ideal for cutting joints, paring, trimming and refining joinery, these Tanryu Nomi chisels offer the balance, strength and precision for which Japanese edge tools are renowned.

Set includes: 6, 12, 19, 25, 32 and 38mm chisels, presented in a Paulowiana wood box.
