Description

Part of the Gyokucho Fugaku range of folding Japanese saws, this Dozuki can be used for cutting joinery in frames and cabinets this blade has crosscut teeth and a rounded tip of rip teeth designed for starting cuts in the middle of the panel. It is ideal for halving joints, mitres, laps and saddles, as well as cutting components accurately to length.

Stained beech handle into which the blade completely folds and protects the teeth.

Another fine Japanese Saw

Another beautiful Japanese saw solidly made with easy to open and close action. The cut is clean and accurate and the saw is well balanced. I use it as a general purpose saw for panels, crosscut and joinery. Very pleased with the quality.

Efficient, accurate cuts, rigid, great DIY tool

Pros-Compact, efficient saw, accurate wobble-free blade, due to the spine design. The folding rounded handle slips easily into pockets well.
Easy to make accurate cuts.
Long enough, and deep enough for most DIY jobs.
Super useful.
Cons-None, if you consider the intended design, being aware at purchase the spine limits the depth of the cut, the accuracy and efficiency offset these restraints.
It is the saw I go for first.
I just built a shelving unit, with this saw alone, the jigsaw power tool in comparison is so clumsy.

Now it fits

Now I have a beautiful heavy duty saw that fits my toolbox. It does what it is supposed to do. It has not developed a wobble as I was told it would. It is perfect for tenons, half-laps, saddles, and even some of the more complicated Japanese joints.
