Well balanced plane.

Hi. I got this lovely smoothing plane a few days ago and because I had watched the videos from Japanese Tools, on how to set up one of these planes, I was able to get the extremely sharp blade to bed firmly with just the right tension. The plane block's sole was already relieved in the right places and it wasn't long before I was making nice smooth shavings. This 58mm smoothing plane is a great companion to it's smaller 42mm brother, which I have been using for a couple of years now and love it!
