This Nakiri kitchen knife is one of the most popular shapes in Japan and is fast becoming well known in Australia. This knife is perfect for cutting vegetables, fruit, breads, cured meats and is so versatile and useful that it is sure to be picked up several times a day.

The Tetsuhiro Nakiri knife is made with VG10 stainless steel clad with a Damascus pattern stainless. It has a very fine blade and holds its edge beautifully. Unlike high carbon steel Japanese kitchen knives, this knife does not need to be dried off immediately after use as it will not rust. We recommend maintaining the edge of the blade with waterstones or diamond stones - view our ranges here.

Great knife

We have been using this knife for over 5 year and despite rarely sharpening it have found it our go to for almost anything. I have given the same to both my mum and brother (ex chef) and they have the same experience. great knife for the money!
