Shakuri-kanna (Rabbet Plane) - 21mm

This handmade Shakuri Kanna uses laminated blue paper steel (aogami #2) in both it's main cutting blade and chipbreaker, and the block is a carefully selected piece of white oak (shirogashi).

The block has been recessed on it's right hand side to allow for an easier grip.

As with all Japanese planes, lapping the back of the blades and sharpening the bevels will allow this plane to work to it's full potential.
